International Development Research Centre, Canada identified CSDS as one of 15 select institutions world-wide that received support through the Think Tank Initiative, in two successive rounds of funding, 2009-2019.

This video contains experiences of the Think Tanks from South Asia who were part of the Think Tank Initiative with regards to influencing policy, the divide, the challenges and various means of engagements. It also discusses the shifting policy engagement with Executive Directors of Think Tanks of TTI network and IDRC Senior program Officers. With Support from TTI, CSTEP and ISET-Nepal prepared this podcast.

The Think Tank Initiative was conceived to strengthen independent policy research institutions in developing countries for more evidence based policy making. It was created in partnership six donors:

• The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
• The UK Department for International Development (DFID)
• The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation
• The International Development Research Centre (IDRC)
• The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD)
• The Netherlands Directorate-General for International Cooperation (DGIS)
