Charles Taylor delivered the Rajni Kothari Lecture on ‘Democratic Social Imaginaries’ on 5 May 2011 at CSDS. The lecture was chaired by D L Sheth. Rajni Kothari Annual Lectures are instituted in honour of the CSDS Founder Director Professor Rajni Kothari. Earlier speakers in the series include Professors Sudipta Kaviraj, Gananath Obeysekere, Rounaq Jahan and Abdellah Hammoudi.
Abdellah Hammoudi delivered the Rajni Kothari Lecture on ‘Giving and receiving yeast: or how to keep radically differing identities together’ on 15 December 2010 at CSDS. Rajni Kothari Lectures are instituted in honour of the CSDS Founder Director Professor Rajni Kothari.
