O.P. Nayyar, the legendary music director was a game changer in Hindi film music. A pioneer of rhythms, he created wonderful melodies from Punjabi folk music as well as from the contemporary popular repertoire. Surprisingly, he has also used a few very difficult raagas in his compositions which other music directors of his time never attempted. This musical, intractive talk will take us through some of the Nayyar gems.
