Anu Aga: Lessons learnt from my life

The talk was about the personal experience of Anu Aga in dealing with the three challenges she faced in her life and the lessons from it. She chose to speak on this subject because the audience of her talk does not need intellectual inputs but could benefit from the sharing of her personal experience.

Anu Aga is Director, Board of Thermax Limited, an engineering company that offers systems and solutions in the areas of energy and environment.  She began her career in Thermax in 1985 and was in charge of the company’s Human Resources from 1991 to 1996. After her husband Rohinton Aga passed away, she was appointed as the Executive Chairperson of the Thermax Group in 1996, and two years later chose to continue as Non-Executive Chairperson and retired in 2004.

After her retirement, she has been involved in the education for the underprivileged.  She is the Chair of Thermax Social Initiative Foundation and is working very closely with two NGOs: Akanksha and Teach for India. She was nominated to the Rajya Sabha as a member of the Indian Parliament in 2012.
