The Centre has recently revived its ICSSR-supported Ph. D. fellowship programme. The duration of the fellowship is three years. The number of fellowships supported by the ICSSR is four, one of them being a salary-protected teacher fellowship. There is a fifth fellowship entirely supported by the Centre. For the current period, four students have been offered fellowships. The Centre has augmented the amount provided for the stipend by the ICSSR through its own resources. The monthly stipend for these fellowships is Rs 10, 000/-. Additionally there is an annual contingency of Rs. 12, 000/-
